The Will to Resist: Soldiers Who Refuse to Fight in Iraq and Afghanistan
The independent journalist Dahr Jamail, who has reported from the Middle East for the last five years, will speak about the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as his new book that covers a growing GI resistance within the U.S. military. As well as writing for the Inter Press Service and Le Monde Diplomatique, among others, Jamail reports on radio for Democracy Now! and has appeared on the BBC and NPR and numerous other stations around the globe. He was the recipient of the Martha Gellhorn Award for Journalism in 2008 and also the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism.
