Atlantic Ocean Current Could Collapse Within 300 Years

A recently published scientific study shows the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation — a major oceanic conveyor belt current — is vulnerable to collapse due to climate disruption. If this current comes to a standstill, large areas of the world will become uninhabitable and global food production will decrease dramatically.
